Hi Veena,

ESL (English as a Second Language) requires dedication to understand first and then speak. We are not born and brought up in an environment where we would not be hesitant about speaking it. So until you understand the language, you can't speak it.

It's okay to be hesitant, but not speaking it at all is not okay. You really have to be conversant wherever you get any chance to speak. Reading and writing do help, but only speaking shows drastic changes. Be patient and practice at least 30 minutes of reading a newspaper and then summarizing it without looking at the newspaper verbally.

English is a language and not any formula that you cram and start speaking without any hesitation.

I am sure it will help you. All the best.

Hi Veena,

If you stay near Dilshuknagar, please visit an institute where there is an excellent teacher who teaches English very well.

I also had the same problem earlier, but now I have gained confidence. If you are interested, you can call him. The fee is very reasonable, only Rs. 1500. His name is Venkat, and his contact number is 9701842525.

Thanks & Regards
