very often you will find a sales manager recommending an apparent wrong one
and that person when appointed roves very effective in the field
this does not mean that the sales guy is better hr manager but that he knows the candidate better and being the man in the field is willing to take a chance with him
the hr guy would not be in the same position to nurse maid the recruit and hence cannot put his neck on line
i only call for this area of grey to be recognized and adopt a unwritten rule to take one chance in a batch of recruits

Dear Sanjana Goswami,
Please note that many candidates are sending fake cvs to companies for employment. They may be detected.
Regarding HR candidates-they have to selfexamine themselves.
Very few candidates may be there who are sending fake cvs to companies.
But as HR, he/she should not cheat the company/companies.
Loyalty, Integrity are important.
Thanks,
GopalaKrishna Murthy B.

Hi
I just gone thru the post. As being a HR professional, I feel this is very crucial matter.
Lots of people are saying that HR people are easily make their resume fake because of Document such as letterhead, salary slip easily available to them.
But this is in everyfield.
However HR professional should takes their own responsibility to be true to himself/herself.
That is why Verification area is growing rapidly.
IF HR department does varifaction for other candidates then why not for HR people also.
This might stop not only HR professional as well as other candidates also doing fake resume.

i believe managers play an important role in setting a example to the juniors. we find lot of back door entries and managers working in a mnc and running there own setups. so juniors take and learn from the seniors. even in my previous company the lady manager was running a company on her own and she was using the company database i came to know about it and left. infact when she realised that i knew she tortured me a lot. these kind of people are not fit to work and should be identified and terminated.
Hi All, For employement verification it will take atleast 15 to 20 days of time starts from the candidate produces all the documents. mean time the genuine candidates are loosing their oppurtunity.

Hey,
Its not only the candidates or the employees who are to be blamed as even some of the companies are involved. when a company lays off certain number of employees due to recession or other factors, the layed off employees are given fake experience i.e ( more years than they have actually put in or the projects of which they do not have hands on experience).

As per my experience people whosoever either HR or anyone else fake or cameoflauged their resume are cought in interview's. We have been experiencing that people may got interview letters as result of fake CV or Resume but they do not qulalify for jobs. Because in GULF also we come across many such lobby's by most of Kerlayete Indians and Philipines influence vacancies and got selected by these fake resume its not manipulation of experience or qualifications but they even cameoflauge Engineers/ Doctors any profession just to enter in jobs because before they are exposed within 6 to 8 months they earn enough to survive for at lease 5 to 6 years without any jobs in hand.
This competition for Gulf Jobs makes Gulf jobs more vulnerable. But in India chances of succeeding is vary less because technical interview exposed the job profile and expertise of candidates.
Don't bother no one can change human behaviour and this will remain professional hazards.

Hello,
I think there's also one more posting reg Fake Resumes.
Rashid is right when he says "professional hazards". Just as in any field, HR too has this aspect.
And just like any area where there's a constant tug between those who want to break the rules of the game, and those who want to follow the rules-sort of Tom & Jerry situation, I guess HR has to find ways to handle this & such issues....and also remember that newer ways will be found by those who want to fake resumes. I can't see any other way to move forward. BUT IF HR JUST REMAINS MUM ON THIS ASPECT WITHOUT TAKING ANY ACTION, the future problems could be far, far worse than what it's now......something like the corruption in India now than what it was 20/30/40 yrs ago.
As of now, Background Checks & Interviewing process changes seem to be the only ways to handle this menace.

Dear Friend What I can say in this is that it is not HR or Any other department but it is individuals who give fake information in their resumes. To keep a check few suggestions are as follows: For Salary - Ask Salary Sheet along with Bank Account Statement of last 6 months. Experience – Once a candidate joins send a letter to his previous organisation stating all the details given by candidate and make a request to the company to verify. I feel if we will follow this practice we might handle this issue up to a extent.
