if the family can adjust to middle class life style he can survive as said earlier blore is an expensive city,but both the middle as well as the low classess leave here,yep transport is a problem but i do think like the organization provides some vehicles in this hectic traffic to reach on time and with a salary of 30 k he can easily run up a life .but one thing if he is having small kids ,i would tell him to stay on which place he is leaving cause the city is too polluted and some says expensive..

hey I would like to answer your question. In Bangalore for a four member family
1. Average rent of 2 BHK - 7000
2. Average expenditure on ration and toiletries - 3000
3.School fee - 800
4. phone water electricity bills - 2000
5. Travelling by bus - monthly passes an average of 700, around 20 Rs. on daily ticket
travellin by auto could be more expensive than two wheeler. with 2 litres of petrol on an average mileage bike you can see the whole Bangalore. Its not a very big city in size compared to other metros.
6.over head Metro train is coming up , so travelling is going to be easier
So if u live tight a family can survive in 20 K only when they dont have credit cards or loans or 40-50k is required

Can be applied universally, not just for Bangalore. (except in US cities, where suburb are costlier)

I cant help but I am taught to thank irrespective of whther the material is useful or not.
However, only after google search I came to know its not available for immediate reference and it comes with a cost. I was only looking at Recruiters in Bangalore to help me with some basic information, and I did get that from our dear members.
I / whole of citehr dont actually take ravi seriously, we all love him. We cant afford to miss him :-)
And if you are wondering who is Ravi, it is taz.india...just that he has a new name each time. ravi knows why.... ;-)
Howvere I dont think my friend would consider a change as of now he is taking 28K... I dont think he will move for 35K. becuase I see that the rent is so costly. here we can live in a luxurious house for 5K rent a month!We need not pay 10 months advance heree.
Its not a glamourous city compared to Blore. But I guess if he earns about 50 - 55 K, its worth considering a move. His goal is to save money.... so maybe I can ask him to see for a better offer at Bangalore.

U R exactly rite. Earning 25K in Kovai is same amount of earning 35K in Bangalore. Coimbattur is not much glamorous city. There if he is getting 25K then that will be sufficient.
Let me tell U some more disadvantages (other expenses) if comes here.
1) For every festival or any occations he has travel to his native so much more burden and more expence. Especially in week end & festival time getting tickets in bus or train is horrible.
2) some times the climate might not be suitable reason is it is bit cold especially in winter it is horrible. More over for kids it effects a lot.
3) Some times people might feel as they are missing somebody.
4) Traffic as well as pollution are horrible
there are some more reasons too. So let him take a chance.
