Hi Aparna!
Dont wory for such things and leave the company.Unless u have good opportunity in other company.becoz it is quite difficult to get job now market is very bad and that to getting job in HR is very dificult every thing is confidential when compare to other departments. Now u have scope to learn many things u can frame all the policies and implement it. so, that u can gain additional knowledge in this stream in big companies there is nothing to do in HR everything is framed u have to follow that format, but in small u have to frame it everything u will gain more experience. Its not a mater that it is small r big even i am working in small company which consists of 20 Employes and that to i am having 1 year experience i framed each and every format and policies regarding HR from recruitment to Retirement and we started implemenmting it.
Regards!

Whether its a small company or a big company were you work, its important knowledge wise what you gain from it. (At times you may find better policies and systems in small scale units than in some Multinational groups). So extract knowledge through experience from were you are now, which would help you to built a strong career ahead. Good Luck....

Hi Srikanth,
Just got to know from your comment that you have started the HR practices and policies of your company from scratch.I m presently in a similar situation.Kindly tell me how did you carry on with doing what you did in your company.I m a new joinee in a trading company in oman.I do not have previous generalist HR experience. Here, they have asked me in setting up a proper HR division(practices) for the company. The company have around 150 employees and in the present system the employee files, leave handling etc are done manually, the payroll being handled by the finance dept.We wish to organise the employee files and related HR practices(from joining formalities till employee leaving the organisation) so that a one point access can be done, thus time saving the time. Please provide me a framework on how to proceed regarding this and examples regarding the areas to be covered and sufficient spreadsheets.
Kindly respond to this as soon as possible.
Thanks and regards,

Hi Rahul,
Frankly speaking, In a year would have just learnt your process but not dept in HR, this year what you need to do this, try getting\implementing new things which would boost your confidence.
Take initiatives; try interacting with higher management and your seniors indeed you would learn new things personally and officially
In bigger companies you would not get a chance to move around in different departments you need to work very hard and prove your self..!
Make sure you are settled in a Good position and better Grade which would help you in long Run.
“THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT TIME TO LEAVE”
All the Very Best:-P

Hi
You cannot decide about the Company by counting the heads. If you have job satisfaction and good environment continue for quite considerable time. If not wait for a good opportunity and make a change. Still I suggest you continue for a minimum period of 1 year so that you can gain good experience which will add value to your Resume. Do not make very frequent changes, It will be viewed negatively
