Weekly Offs are payable by default. Regarding monday's absence, depends whether the employee has leave balances or has he applied for the leave and so on according your oraganizational norms.

Dear,
There is two option with you.
1) You can provide c-off on monday against sunday or saturday, that time he will be liable for 1 day present.
2) If there is no any policy of coff for employees, you will have to mark absent for the day and will not be paid for that day.

I have taken an approved leave from Monday to Saturday & resumed my job from Monday. So, the Sunday will be counted in leave or not.
