Hello shashi,
Dont worry about your problem yaar.
I also facing the same problem in my college days. Bcoz i am from tamil medium.Later i realized that i have to learn, otherwise i cannot survive in this corporate world.
I take it as a challenge and i followed it.
1.Try to talk to friends who know only English(few of my classmates from Gujarat & Bhutan)
2.Read children's book( LKG to 5th std)
3.whenever i heard new word i try to use my conversation.
4.Read English novels though you cannot understand.
I did all the things in my UG level.
At present i am reading English novels with understanding (chetan bhagat's TWO STATES ,3 MISTAKES OF MY LIFE etc.,)
So dont loose your hope.
If shashi cant who else can?????????????????????
Regards,

It seems from your question that you can write but cannot speak english fluently. You should not feel nervous and start speaking in english without any hesitation. You may also join english speaking classes in your town. You will certainly improve. Have self confidence and start speaking english.

Dear friends
In orde to increase the skill of English language you need to read newspaper daily so that you can learn new words and their meanings.
Second important thing is that the more you practice, the more you get expertize on English.

Aditya, we should go down memory lane and understand how we learnt our mother tongue. It is a very simple technique, listen and repeat. The same applies to English also. If you are in Bangalore and want to know more write to n_babithja@yahoo.co.in

It's a common problem with us Indians. A lot of us can write well but can't speak.
Speaking English is a skill - just like cooking or singing or playing a guitar. You need practice.
Join a program which gives you a lot of spoken English practice.
Listen to TV news discussions.
Just as you can't become a better singer just by reading books about singing, similarly you can't become a fluent English speaker by reading manuals. Practice is the mantra. Figure out the best way to get the right practice.
