Dear Experts,
Still it is not clear. If Employer wants to cut from Only Basic Salary and not to include DA. Is it permisible as per EPF Act.?
Example: An employee's Basic pay is 3000 + 4000 D.A. etc. Can Employer deduct 12% from Rs.3000 and pay 360 + 360 = 720
in EPF? OR compolsary to pay 12% from 7000?

Dear All,
PF amount has to calculate from Basic+DA. We can give 12% of Basic+DA if employee getting <=6500.
Because, 6500 is a standard basic for an employee.
actual basic is what employee getting.
Even if it is more than 6500, we can give 780(12% of 6500)
