Somebody should help me.
I have been working in a Textile Group in the Admin department as PA to the Chairman. When I was on duty, I met a road accident. While I was standing by the side of an AMC bus, the rear wheel knocked down my scooter and damaged my left leg. The driver of the bus is an old man, and he begged my pardon. The police arrived immediately and filed an FIR. I was then immediately hospitalized with the help of the AMTS bus driver. The police asked me to file a complaint against the driver, but after seeing his face and his age, I could not do so. In the meantime, my chairman promised me that he would bear the entire expense and advised against making any complaint. He suggested I admit to a good hospital like SAL, but I chose to go to a government hospital. I spent 15 days in that hospital, and my chairman only gave Rs. 25,000 for treatment, while the remaining amount was treated as a loan. I do not have any mediclaim or ESIC coverage. The total expense was above Rs. 60,000. In this situation, what should I do? As per his promise, I have not filed any complaint against the bus driver. Now, my leg condition is not good. The accident happened four years ago. Is it possible to file a complaint against the driver or AMTS, Ahmedabad? One of the police officers told me that if I claim an amount of Rs. 5.00 lakh, I could receive it. Is it possible to file a case against our chairman? Kindly advise. I am still working in this company without receiving any increment for two years.
He left behind his dependent parents and spouse, who is pregnant. What benefits can we avail for them under the ESIC scheme? Kindly let me know.
