1. Dear member, there is no pension "under ESI". I hope, you must confirm from the ESI Act, 1948 and rules/regulations framed thereunder. The literature on said Act etc. can be found on website of ESIC.
2. However, in case of eventualities like death and employment injuries out of and in the course of employment DB & PDB are paid to the dependents and injured employee as a matter of their legal rights for said benefits under said Act and rules/regulations. DB i.e. "Dependent Benefit" is paid to the dependent(s) of the deceased employee and the duration of the same is mentioned in the said Act and rules/regulations. PDB or "Permanent Disablement Benefit" is paid to the injured employee as mentioned above and is paid for life time. This is paid after assessment of loss of earning capacity is done by ESIC by a medical board constituted for the said purpose. However, lump sum amount of said PDB can be claimed in very minor cases as per policy laid down by said organisation.
