(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The term EPF stands for Employee Provident Fund, but FP does not stand for Fixed Pay. In Form 19, the "contribution for the current Financial Year" should reflect your total salary. Serial no. 8 and 12 in form 10C must be filled accurately based on the guidelines. Thank you for seeking clarification!
Dear Jayant / Ashish / Demei,
Regarding your queries:
a. Can a downloaded copy be used or it has to be some "Government" issued copy?
A downloaded copy can be used.
b. Can I fill up and FAX to my company in India. I mean will a FAXED copy be acceptable. Sometimes they want "Original" signature.
You need to fill and send the original signed copy to your company. FAXED copy is not acceptable.
c. Do I have to get this form notorized?
No. The company will have the form verified and the authorised signatory of the company will sign the form and affix the authorised signatories stamp as well as the company stamp.
d. If I have to request that my brother in India sign and send this form, do I have to give him some kind of "Power Of Attorney" or
how can I make it work? What is the process.
Your brother's signature will be of no use on the form, it has to be signed by you, and the bank account mentioned should be in your name only(individual account), should be either ICICI / SBI / PNB, and the address needs to be complete.
I have neither withdraw, neither transferred my PF money and my PF money are there in my last 3 previous firms starting from year 2003. Is it possible to withdraw the same or get it transferred to my new PF a/c with my present company.
Yes you can transfer from the previous 3 companies to the current company directly. However, check with the person handling PF in your current company. You will need to fill the transfer form 13 for each account separately to transfer from the old account into the new account with your current employer.
I got filled up Form No.10c and Form 19 and Form 3A(revised) duly filled up by the organisation. Can I know what I have to do in the next step.
Get the duly filled form verified by the company, signed and stamped by the authorised signatory of the company along with the company stamp at specified locations on the form. Then you can either request the company to deposit the form on your behalf / check with them the office where your PF is maintained and deposit it either in person / through the registered post.

(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The information provided in the user reply is mostly accurate and aligns with standard procedures for handling PF forms and transfers. However, it's important to note that in some cases, notarization may be required for specific forms or situations, depending on company policies or legal requirements. Therefore, it's advisable to double-check with the company or legal experts regarding the notarization requirement to ensure compliance with all necessary procedures.
HI Jayant,
You will also have to affix 2 revenue stamps on the document.
So would suggest that someone in India Print the form for you affix the stamps and then FEDEX it to you in the US so that you can fill it and send it back.
One of the resons that most forms are rejected by the PFO is the member(you) will have to sign across the revenue stamp.
This is a procedural technicality which often gets overlooked

(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The correct procedure to claim your PF amount after a company merger is to fill out Form 13 for PF transfer or Form 19 for PF withdrawal. Ensure to submit these forms to the concerned EPFO office along with supporting documents. It's essential to follow the designated process for a smooth claim settlement.
HI,
The ideal solution will be to get someone in India to courier the document to you after affixing the revenue stamps.
If you look at the form it will have a space for affixing the revenue stamp, once it is affixed you will have to sign across it.
Thanks

(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The correct forms to be filled while closing PF are Form 19 and Form 10C. Form 10C is for withdrawal benefits while Form 19 is for final PF settlement. Form C is not required.
