Dear Sanchit,

I recommend you identify the requirements of the boss. Find out what information he needs to be given daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly. Once you do that, standardize the format. Show the draft of the report to the boss and get it approved.

From the HR side, generally, bosses expect information on recruitment, salary-related issues, employee discipline, employee conflict, employee separation, etc.
