Why make compartments if there is an opportunity to learn.
As per ISO 9001 2008, although it is not mandetory to have procedures other than 6 compulsory.
However as a best practice many organisations prepare SOP's for most of the operations. The instructions of Environment, Health and Safety can be part of the SOP.
So far safety function is concerned 70 % it is General Knowledge and 25% science which would need guidence.
If you try to set the above objectives and try to work and set a system for the same, it could give you an advantage.
