Dear seniors, I am a lead auditor for ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000. Am I eligible to certify internal auditors in my company for EMS and OHSAS internal audit purposes? If so, kindly send me the documented proof.

Thanks and Regards,

You can train employees in your company for an Internal Auditor course. You can refer to clause 4.5.5 of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, which states that the selection of an auditor shall ensure impartiality and objectivity.

In your own Internal Audit procedure, you can include that any person who is competent to conduct such an audit is your Internal Auditor. Just ensure that they do not audit their own work or activities and maintain a record of satisfactory training with you.

Regards,
Sunil
