We are pleased to update you all on the upcoming HR meet on 11th April, 2009.
Anish Tripathi, Partner-Strategic Services Group, Grant Thorton, India would be an additional Key Speaker on Retention Strategies & Trends.
He would speak on the topic “Managing People in slowdown” and more importantly share the insights from the IMARS 2008-09 Report ( Indian Market Attrition and Retention Studies).
Grant Thornton India is the India member firm of Grant Thornton International Ltd, one of the six global audit, tax and advisory organizations.
IMARS was conducted by Grant Thorton with a view to analyze significant trends in human resource management in India. This study highlights some of the aspects related to retention and motivation and strategic insights into the best practices and benchmarks adopted by the employers in managing their human resources both at times when the going is good and also during slowdowns.
Anish Tripathi has been in the consulting profession for more than 18 years and has worked with numerous public sector and private clients in the areas of business performance improvement, strategy development & deployment, HR strategy and business planning. He has a special interest in the IT / ITeS industry, and has been involved with in thought leadership initiatives with NASSCOM and The Indus Entrepreneurs(TiE), in his previous employment.

Hello Everyone...
The HR-meet was good.. What was important in that meet was, we all could meet and it will surely help us.
Many registered people have not turned up. In future to maintain seriousness of such meet you should charge some amount or you should give some kind of registration ID. People should feel like they are committed and now they have to come. Because their valuable presence is really required to add on value in the meet.

Dear All!
one of my staff sent resignation letter to me through mail dt.17.03.2010
evening and remain absent from next day, we are not accpet his resignation letter. b'cause as per rule he serve notice period of 1 month , and handover
charge to another person in same deptt. but he has not cleared formalities.
he is not ready to pick the phone also.
Now because of this no one is able to continue his work and lot of work is pending and also company suffer lot,now Management want to send him warning letter to clear the formalities regarding handover charges
can anyone plse help me , how to prepare a draft which is helpful to take legally action?
