Dear John,

In addition to others suggested try these also:

1.Whenever you try to speak in English, don't think in your vernacular and try to translate into English and speak. Think in English and speak out. Initially you ought to commit mistakes but gradually you'll improve.

2. Make sure, whenever you are with your friends & family compulsorily speak/converse only in English and share with them what mistakes you are committing and correct them.

3. For a simple conversation you don't need in depth vocabulary, instead commonly known English words are good enough to complete your conversation. Also correct your grammatical errors by discussing with your close friends.

4. Practise your subject of GD to be dealt with in front of a mirror at home. If you practice in the presence of a close friend who is better at English he must be in a position to help you to improve upon your flow of speaking and body language as well.

5. Frequently read printed matters on the subject of GD, memorise some of the important portions in them, recall those while in GD.

6. Don't approach the GD with an inferiority complex, think that they are also like you and you are better prepared. Get a mindset full of confidence.

7. Listen, read, watch, recall and present. Keep your eyes and ears open always.

First and foremost be better informed, if not thorough on the subject you are expected at the GD deliberations, collect all possible relevant information, thoughtfully memorise them. This is very much important, without enough knowledge, details & statistics one cannot manage the GD convincingly howsoever he/she could be at ease in English speaking. It will help you not to fumble at crucial juncture and squeeze your head for words to continue the subject. Keep yourself uptodate on current affairs and events. This will be possible only by continuously reading news papers and magazines in English. While doing so note down important data & details in your handbook, as a routine, which will help you to use them during GD. Discussing them with your friends will make your perception on the matter some what clear. Make this as a habit.

First of all please present your problem in understandable manner. That will help others to give you suitable advice.
General Knowledge can be acquired by improving your reading habit, use of internet.
Once knowledge improves, you will automatically feel confident.
Secondly if your knowledge of English is poor make full attempts to speak and read more articles, interaction with friends, office superiors etc.Interaction will help improve conversational English.
never loose confidence in yourself.
Few attempts will give you exposure and ability to sail through.
Best of luck.

Hi Bishi John,
You will feel more confident with more the knowledge and information you possess. So my recommendation for you is read as much as possible. Below are the few resources you can look at:
1) Read English news paper - With this you can improve your communication and Knowledge both
2) Read Business related books - You will feel confident when you read business books.
3) Attend meetups - There will be multiple meetups happening in and around the city, just go to Meetup.com, Eventshigh.com and check for your intersted events and attend those, you will get a chance to meet more and more people and you will have more confidence and courage.
