PF Challan - This is the part of Monthly Legal compliance (before 15th of e.m)
there are no.of a/c 1,2,10,21,22
a/c 1 = PF contri.of Employer @ 3.67% and 12% of Employee
a/c 2 = Admn. charges @1.10% of wages
a/c 10 = Pension
this way there are deep details of P.F as well as ESI

Challan is a specific format for depositing/remitting the contribution/statutory payment at bank/treasurey. In HR Monthly PF & ESI contribution is deposited in specified format.

Dear all, I think challan is not only a receipt.it is a particular form for payment to the particular Govt. authority like EPFO, ESIC etc. but it includes receipt also. Sumant

Challan means Monthly contribution towards govt. offices eg. PF, ESIC , PT. in a specific form desinged by respected offices.
