Yes it is mandatory that we have to take approval for the national (4) & Festival (5) holiday list from the labour office. We have to collect and fill form V by stating the national & festival holidays for the following year and we should send it to the approval of labour office before the end of december & we must have the acknowledgement copy with us.

Thank You, Madhu T K Sir.Often it is observed only festive holidays falling on Sunday substituted with another festive holiday but employees having weekly off on rest of the days deprived with this carry forward facaility.
