Dear Sumaiya,
While reading ur coment, its really painful for me as without knowing actual Reasons how can you blame on safety dept? without knowing their safety system, safety culture one can't blame on Guess on somebody like this, First & foremost Observing safety everybodies responsibity & moreover here pointing fault on somebody for cause of accident is not right, one should find the Thruth/Fact rather blaming somebody during accident investigation. Please do not take this seriosly but one should introspect before pointing fingers on somebody.
Thanks with Regards.

Dear Sir,
Such accidents can very well be avoided if proper safety training is imparted to workers time to time. The instructions from the management should be very clear about things to do and not to do. I do not see any guards near the moving parts of the machine, which is necessary to be fitted under the law. This clearly shows the negligent behaviour of the management towards the workers' safety. These pictures can act as an eye opener to the workers, managements and government inspectors who monitor the implementation of the Acts and rules in the industry.
This case can be a fit case for investigation by the police, to find out whether this is a murder or an accident. The culprits or the responsible people for such an incident should be brought to book and penalised according to the Law of the Land.
Thanks to Mr. Srivsatava for bringing it to every ones notice.

DeaR READERS,
SAFETY NORMS ARE MOSTLY VIOLATED BY THE EMPLOYEES WHO WORK IN HARZARDOUS PLACES. THEY ARE CASUAL TO WARNINGS AND DO NOT WEAR PROPER SAFETY DRESS, GLOUSE, etc. For example, two wheeler riders do not wear helmets. Electricians do not wear hand glouse. Boatmen do not go with life jacket. 4 wheeler drivers and passengers do not wear seat belts. Victims knowingly ignored safety norms and hence they had become victims. In my opinion accidents are gifts given by GOD to whom ignored the safety norms. This can't be avoided by anybody.

Some times, it is not just awareness. It's stupidity and laziness that causes accidents. An example from today's experience, but on a slightly different note.
I went to throw rubble in the Local Council waste centre. It is clearly labelled "No plasterboard" A guy came there read the note aloud and then looked around to see if any official was there. And then chucked plasterboard in the container. I asked him, why? He said "They will sort it out". Such people will take short cuts at work, even though they are aware of the rules, etc.

hi,
it is very unforgettable picture. it is true that everytime the employer should instruct to the employee while the starting the work in factory. as per my thought, employer should keep notice on each floor and the place where more machine is kept, one security incharge also be there to instruct the people to use it.

Pl.stop blaming victims. It is easy for anyone and everyone to blame the victim and forget the incident till another such accident takes place. We as professionals should keep ourselves away from blaming powerless. We need to analyze the accident in great detail to identify ALL the factors/causes which may have led to the accident and resulting injury
