Thanks for your Suggestions..........
I had spoken to his assistant yesterday, and I told her that I cannot do the work, & also requested to stop calling me for any work......
Till now, I haven't received any calls.....

Krishna,
I have seen all your questions and received answeres. It is to be taken by you that now he is realising your absence, and appreciating your work he is calling.Probably, because of outside pressure,he would have transferred you. So, in my opinion,it is not harm to help him on his calling,as he helped you in your needy hours.

Hi Krishna,

I understand what you are tryign to say. But for your good nature, please start thinking this way - irrespective of whether the boss was bad or good to you, you may be the kind of person who is willing to help people if its within the limits for you. But if its not convenient or uncomfortable - just tell him "Sir, I am happy got in touch with me for this however I am a little held with my current job and a few other personal issues that needs immediate sorting. SO let me do this - I shall get in touch with you when things are fine at my end, else I may not be able to help you at all"

Or

If possible, just talk over the phone on how to get it done and leave it.

Or

Tell him politely and just ignore his calls if he tries reaching you. If you pick up also - just tell him you are in the middle of something and you will revert

Or

Simple- change your number :-) - okay that was on a lighter aspect

Please note that you need to say NO at teh right place else people will take you for granted. Your boss only gave permission and adjusted with your exam schedules - that too when you were working for him. But did he write his exams for you? No right - just leave it.

You would have to take this one ahead in a smart manner. Now since you have worked for him in the past and that too for a substantial amount of time, it would not be a smart thing to spoil relations with you ex-boss. I think putting the message across to him in a polite manner a few times, that why you would not be able to help him out, should do the trick. If he is smart enough he should stop running after your life, after a few polite refusals.
And since your bonus and other outstandings are due from his side, i do not think it would act as a motivator to work for this gentleman.

Hello Ramachandra Sir
Even I know that Ex=Boss is realising my absence but he is only responsible for the same. I had done all the work, given to me. But it is also his responsibility to pay the dues...

Hi.
Just tell him smartly that you are bussy with your present work... ans as per your present company norms, you can't work for other outside personnels.. Hence you are unable to help him..
All the best.

yes i am busy with my present work. But the Ex-boss calls after 6 or 6.30 and ask for the help..If he ask me for any formula, I even tell me in phone also. But now he is calling me in Office, and that too after office hours.
That too, after the work done by his assistant. She also had called me that she is very disheartened..due to this act.
Now, about me, I am not able to say NO directly. Sometimes I dont pick up the call. Now I am planning to change my number. And I think he wont clear my dues also.

Dear Krishna,
I strongly agrees with Mr.Som G in his ways for behaviours and courtsy's to be followed in the corporate setups. But i feel to be honest in one fact that you where a valuable HR person, unfortunatly your x-boss was not able to understand it while you where working with him.I think feels vaccuum when he you left him(that may be one reason) some other point i want to add is you may be knowing his HR better evn better than him.He may try to negotiate some time just because of it.The only one think if i am in your place will do is take his calls calmly and try to convince him that you will never advertise his secrets...one more humble request for you...never try to go back and help your X-boss...
