Dear,
Job rotation is always good in any profile. It will add expertise of other fields of your domain (HR) in your profile. It will also make you confident of knowing many things of your field. Eventually it will make a developed "You" which will help you to reach new height.
But remember whenever any job rotation takes place, never forget the old works that you used to do ealier and so time to time at least once in a month try to perform the works as per your old role.

Change in role is an opportunity to learn new things.
Take it in a spirit of learning and mastering the new role.
This will help you get an all round perspective of HR ..
Get a sound understanding of the job.
Read the laws/rules on the topic.
Take a full briefing from the person you are taking over.
All the best.
