One man asked to me one that suppose that one of your staff went in field. The work was for two days but he did in one day and leave the field and went away his home without any information. You got the information that he leave the field without intimation. What I am to do in this situation. Please suggest me any idea or answer of this query.

The person concerned needs to be counselled for the first time.
Secondly when such people put up a tour program,it needs to be vetted carefully for duration,places etc.
Main point is the person should not be allowed to make it a habit of getting such unofficial offs.
The habit may spread to other employees also.Nip such development in the beginning stage itself-counsel,issue warning next time and finally terminate such people.

If your staff has completed two day work in just a day and did not resume his duties on the second day then he is to be treated as absent. Call him and ask for explanation. If the explanation is not satisfactory, then issue the show cause notice. If the employee could not prove his presence then take disciplinary action.
When field duties are assigned, Manager estimates the time duration and allocates the work accordingly. If the work is finished early then employee must report to his/her duty station immediately. This is applicable even if the work finishes early on the same day.
The worst part is the employee has played truant. He left for home without keeping his manager informed. Therefore, he is liable for disciplinary action.
While initiating disciplinary action against the delinquent employee, you may handle the immediate problem at hand nevertheless, situation of this kind arose because of process flaw as well. In this age of mobile and internet, why your manager did not tell the employee to share the location on Google map? Through these modern means, you will be able to keep track of the employees working in the field.

Managers should leverage modern technology to be fully aware of the progress from the field.

The Situation demands for clarity in service terms,appropriate reporting procedures,clarity on company policies and more importantly the training especially towards the employee morale leverage and dedication.We know today's corporate world is full of stress and pressures to fulfill targets.Work life balance is disturbed.What is best is to have the employees who have will to work and not run off from the field.Managers are the people to create work environment a better place and employees be nurtured and trained to willfully deliver performances.

But here it is clear cunning and deceptive behaviour by finishing job in one day and showing it for two days.
The person requires to be warned for the first "mistake" of this nature.
There is no question of talking management theory when faced with such jugaadu tricks.

The employee should have returned to office and reported that he has completed 2 days of work in one day that would have added an extra points to his performance review and he is trust worthy t the company.
He has choosen the other way and deserves a warning letter not because he went back but tried to cheat.

He tried to cheat on TA/DA for one day at least.
He has given false information about his whereabouts for that particular day.
Moral/integrity values of a person are known from such acts and serve as warning for bigger and more serious violations.

While agreeing with the suggestions of Dinesh Divekar & Nathrao, I recollect a Quote that aptly summarizes what this employee has done:
"Everyone takes care of the Big things in life, it's HOW one takes care of the small things that the true nature comes out".
A day's travel & daily allowance may not come to very much. But if this practice is not nipped initially, you are creating for this guy as well as those who watch him get away to begin sowing the seeds for a larger problem that the Company MAY find tough to control later.
Incidentally, this practice is pretty common in field staff. But with the use of technology, it surely can be controlled.
