Dear Michael,
The dictionary meaning of "philosophy" is:
a) A belief (or system of beliefs) accepted as authoritative by some group or school
b) The rational investigation of questions about existence and knowledge and ethics and
c) Any personal belief about how to live or how to deal with a situation
Considering the various meanings of the word philosophy, it can be deduced that this word is too big for corporate training. There are various business process while running enterprise, training is one such process. It can be said that it is sub-process of HR Process as a whole.
Earlier, I have given exhaustive reply on organisational training. You may click the following link to go through it:

You may go through the above reply. In this reply you will find several links. Go through all the patiently and understand everything about training.
As far as business is concerned, your management would be more interested in ROI on Training than its philosophy. You may not ignore this factor.
Thanks,
