Hi All,
I am working with a registered Trust of a Navratna PSU of India. All the employees of this Trust are hired on a contractual basis which is subjected to renewal on time to time basis. I am working with this Trust for more than 2.5 years and I want to claim Maternity Leave. Apart from Basic Salary and Special Allowance, conveyance, Books & Periodicals are the components of my salary break up. Other than salary is there any maternity leave benefit which can be provided ?
I want to know which salary components I can expect from my employer during my Maternity Leave.
Kindly guide me.
Thanking You,
Shabana

You will be entitle to received 12 Weeks leave with full Salary ( will say Gross) as Maternity Benefit and Rs 3500/- Maternity Bonus, except this no other benefit payable untill unless any complication arise post delivery, in such case you shall further entitle for one month leave with wages on production of medical certificate.
Only if the above components are in the terms of employment. Varghese Mathew

1. Basic
2. HRA
3. MEdical - 1250/month
4. Conveyance - 800/month
even sometime they are saying that only consider basic component.

Dear All
Generally "Conveyance Allowance" is considered as out of the purview; as during Maternity Leave, the employee does not attend office/work.
Apart from the above; all other allowances and incentives which are based on attendance; like Meal / Food Allowance; Uniform / Washing Allowance, any Field / Hardship Allowance etc.; are not admissible.
Warm regards.
