The Corona virus epidemic is proved to be a national disaster wherever it spreads. When the Govt asks you shut down your business for some time, it's a preventive measure of public health and safety which includes your employees too. You can't ask your employees work from home in view of the nature of your business. Therefore a very considerate and humane approach is expected of the employers in this critical situation. Will an industry sink if it pays its employees for a month without work? Can't it be adjusted against future leave? Or will not the employees work overtime without wages to compensate? Compare your industry with those of public utility services like hospitals, transport, electricity distribution, civic and sanitation where people are asked to work in public interest despite the personal risks.
