As you might be aware Great Place to Work® Institute is the world pioneer in studies on workplace relationships. For over 20 years and in more than 30 countries, the Great Place to Work® Institute has been conducting one of the most acclaimed HR studies worldwide, to identify and understand Great Workplaces, which in turn has helped improve workplace environments of numerous organizations, into a powerful source of competitive strength. Each year, the results of the studies conducted in the USA & UK get published in the Fortune magazine and The Financial Times, respectively.
In India, the Great Place to Work® Study is in its 5th year and is being conducted by Great Place to Work® Institute, India (www.greatplacetowork.in) in partnership with The Economic Times (www.economictimes.com). The study is being formally called the “Best Workplaces in India” Study, 2008 and the results of this Study will be published in the Economic Times in a special magazine format. The results of the 2006 study were published in a special edition of Businessworld, dated April, 2007
The study would be followed by a ceremony to present awards to the companies that make it to the prestigious list, and a series of learning seminars to share the insights as to what makes them Best Workplaces.
This year, among other awards, there will be awards in special categories viz. best in Corporate Social Responsibility, best in Leadership Development, best for working women, best for generation Y, best in Leadership Credibility, best for effective work/life balance etc. Depending on the size of the Organization and its industry, we are also seeking to recognize the best workplaces in large Organizations (More than 10,000 employees), and in a particular industry without ranking them.
As a participant in this Study you will be able to access a variety of reports to understand and compare the strengths and issues as perceived by your employees in the workplace environment. Details of reports and benefits of the study are available in the attached brochure.
We are pleased to extend an invitation to your Organization to participate in the "Best Workplaces in India Study –2008". As in the previous year, there will be no participation fee in the study. A brochure carrying all the details regarding the scope and methodology of the Study, the various reports that the study will produce, and the nature of their content is enclosed along with this Letter of Invitation. Please note that the deadline for completing the registration process is 15th of December, 2007.
