Dear Jonah Costa,
To attract right job candidates, you need to build brand first. The converse of this statement is that to build a brand you need to have right people on board. Therefore, it is a chicken and egg situation, which came first?
Initially whatever people you have, you need to give strong focus on customer satisfaction. This will help you in growing your business. About internal administration is concerned, your administration should be performance oriented. Lastly, your salary standards should be as per market standards. If you pay low then you will end up in attracting low-value candidates.
Attracting right candidate is beyond realm of HR. For this your leadership has to play a vital role. If HR are like a foot soldier, then role of leadership lies in choosing the right battle ground. Battle is won when both are complementary to each other.
All the best!

Dear Jonah,

I'm not sure whether you are positioned in Philippines or India. I'm not fully conversant with the environment and policies, procedures, methodology, avenues prevailing in that country. However for simple question there are a few suggestions in addition to what have already been mentioned by experts supra. I may add, you have to float your requirements, with job specifications in the media like professional magazines, online portals. These you must be aware. Now a days campus interviews are common when you look for freshers. If your requirements are for senior positions you might as well collect CVs thru professional bodies like Associations- Personnel Managers, Institution of Engineers, ICAI,ICWAI, ICS and other societies specialisation wise. These professional bodies run their periodicals for internal circulation among members and subscribers. Their magazines also have dedicated pages for job search. If you are looking for wider spectrum advt. thru' media & net/blogs is a workable route.

Attracting job applicants might be relatively easy, but attracting qualified and enthusiastic job applicants is a challenge for many companies. Writing the perfect job posting can be one way to appeal to job applicants. However, that's not the only method and not the most effective one for attracting applicants. Achieve the broadest appeal to job applicants with an approach that consists of more than simply posting openings on Internet job boards.

Attracting job candidates may sound easy from a job-seeker's perspective, but companies know that their success depends upon balancing recruitment costs with the financial impact of a bad hire. According to HRManagement.com, a new hire carries a price tag worth 1.5 times her salary. Technology has opened cost-effective avenues for advertising; however, taking advantage of it requires a game plan. But it is within you, you yourself plays a big role on how to attract applicants.
Godbless to you.
