Hi all, I am working with a multinational BPO organization and want to check if there is any provision or policy in place that entitles an employee to become eligible for a pension after working for a certain number of years in the company, just like a government employee.

There is no provision relating to compulsory pension after some working years in any legal statute. However, an employee who contributes 10 years to EPF without any withdrawals is eligible for pension benefits after superannuation or retirement. It is completely the organization's interest if it wants to provide pension benefits to its loyal employees after retirement as a part of employee welfare, but it is not obligatory as per any other statute. Most of the MNCs provide free education to their employees' children as a part of employee welfare.
