Dear Friends,
What are the documents and rules to follow when we take security guards on direct payroll instead of through agency/contractor.
Also if any guard works for only 7/10 days and leaves abruptly without information and later demands salary for those days whether it is required to settle the payment\"?

there is no special Rules for direct recruitment of Security Guard. he will be your's employee and all employment condition/policy etc as applicable to others employee shall be also be applicable to such guard.
if he has worked for 7/10 certain, its his earned wages, pay off and settled, to avoid any dispute.

You may conduct Police Verification, prior to hire Security Guards.
Other terms may be same as applicable to other employees.
Better you prepare muster for all security guards...with giving them 7 days rest.

a security gaurd on direct payroll is simply one among employees of your org. Like operation, sales etc., he will be under admin dept, job describing him as a gaurd. But if he carrys a knife or gun, then it should me under proper license. Nothing differs more than this

Dear Shankar,
Appointing security guard in direct payroll does not require any special documents. its same the procedure as applied to other employees. one more document you can ask for is police verification certificate from his nearest police station and license certificate from those who comes to use gun.
And regarding salary, its better to pay the salary for his working days to avoid dispute
Thanks
