Dear Seniors, If employee take 1 SL in satuday and take 2 CL on monday & tuesday So please confirm total leave 4 or 3 only. please confirm CL count in prefix or suffix.
From India, New Delhi
HI DEAR, as per our company rules we can considered as 4days leave, because if an employee is not worked on either satuarday or monday we can considere sunday also as leave.

Dear Shrivastava,
It is not fair on employers part to cheat employees and vice versa. SUNDAY is a GOVERNMENT HOLIDAY and it cannot be considered as LOP. You may define your policies based on NEED just to maintain DISCIPLINARY STANDARDS by not allowing your employees to avail leave(continuous) without valid reason and systematic job handover.
If its really needed, on emergency ground and based on genuine reason(s), you may allow your employees to take off along with Sunday without counting as LOP.
With profound regards

Both Sick Leave and Casual Leave can not be merged and deductions of 4 days leave is correct. J Vaikunth Vaipav Consultants 09962113555

1. CL can be combined only with Compensatory Off/Holidays/Restricted Holidays/Off days.
2. CL cannot be combined with any other type of leave as mentioned above
3.. When CL is combined with holidays/off days/ CO/ Restricted Holidays, the total absence should not exceed 10 days. In such occasion, the maximum CL that can be sanctioned is 6 days.

Sunday as weekly paid off is available provided one works for whole week. Paid weekly off has to be earned. Otherwise an employee is not entitled for the paid weekly off.
However, some companies allow the employees to avail the leave before and also subsequent to weekly off and do not treat Sunday as leave. It is the policy of some companies.
Normally, most companies permit the prefixing or suffixing of leave to a holiday and not both.
Above is the position. you may take a policy decision or treat it as Leave as employee does not earn paid weekly off.

Hi, If an employee is not worked on either Saturday or Monday we can consider Sunday also as leave.
From India, New Delhi
If you take a month as 26 days, we need not to considered as leave on sunday ( if his weekly off is on sunday)
in my opinion other than paid leave(Wage with leave), if leave applied prefix & suffix of WO treated as leave

HI, As per the Shops and Establishment Act as well as Fatories Act. no employee can combine Sick Leave and Casual Leave for going on leave. It should be either sick leave or Casual Leave. IF IT IS SICK Sunday can be counted as one more Sick Leave. If Casual Leave sunday is not counted as one day leave. If the PL Sunday is counted.
