My cousin left his company as he got opportunity in a good MNC.he served the full notice period even then they are not providing him relieving letter. His manager threaten him that he will ruin his career.
Now my cousin left the company without taking relieving letter and joined new one.
But new employer also want relieving letter from previous one.My cousin asked for some time from new employer.
Now please suggest what he should do to get relieving letter or there is any other thing that can be worked as a replacement of relieving letter to provide new employer.

dear yash,
You can file a case against the company manager if the notice period of served in good faith. He can also register a police case for threatening against the manager. Within few days relieving letter will be received.
Hope this is OK for you.

tnx for the suggestion sunil sir,, but it is not so possible if relieving letter is needed urgently since filing a case and again clearing it off takes much time..
Please let us know if there is any other way of getting the letter.,

here are some options:
1. handover all documents of earlier company including last payslip
2. Inform in writing to current employer the problem created by earlier employer (facts with all details).
3. Prepare an affidavit mentioning the fact and submit it to the current employer
4. If the victim knows senior management person from last company, he can drop communication on how he is being harassed for relieving and how company image is getting spoiled.
5. some link from colleague of earlier company may be used to help the victim.
6. A letter by parents of your cousin or any other senior representative from family may send a registered letter in the name of the manager appealing to relive cousin.
Finally continuous communication with both employers would only solve the problem. If this does not DAND (from sam, dam, danda & bhed can be used).
