In case employer terminate any employee and he is completed 4 year service period in present organization then terminated employees will be entitle for gratuity or not.

Even employee is terminated on completion of 4 years of service than also he is not eligible for gratuity.5 years of service is must to get entitle for gratuity.
As our friend has written 4 yr 6 month is absolutely worng.

Hi jitumbair, Gratuity is paid to all such employees their resignation or retirement.Incase of resignation gratuity is paid to such employees who have completed 5 years of service. rena bhardwaj

As per the Act an employee who worked for 5 years in an organisation, is eligible for gratuity.
As per Madras High Court Decision, an employee, who worked for four year and more than 240 days in fifth year, the employee is eligible for gratuity, taking into consideration of the definition of continuous service of one year as per Factories Act.
Terminated employee is also eligible for gratuity unless his services were terminated as detailed under section 4 (6) of the Gratuity Act.
