I am planning to celebrate employee birthdays as part of employee engagement activities.Please provide me suggestions on various birthday celebration programmes conducted on your organizations.

Hi Mily,
1. You can put up birthdays of the month on notice period. If you have canteen, celebrate each's birthday with cake cutting during breakfast in the presence of all employees. Moreover, if time permits, you can ask 1 or 2 colleagues or his seniors to talk few words about him. Such fresh start will keep him happy for whole day.
2. If you find option 1 is time consuming, there is another way. You can make a list of employees whose birthdays are in say, May and June month. On a particular day, take them out for lunch where you can chat informally, play small game etc.
3. In case you find option 2 a little expensive, you can have a gathering of such employees in your own conference room instead of hotel, with few snacks and sweets. Conduct such gatherings monthly.
