Hi,
We want to have a grand celebration on the eve of X'mas. The average age of our staff is 32; hence, we want to make it eventful. Can you share your ideas on how you are planning to do it in your organization?
Waiting for some creative suggestions for the event.

Dear Kavita,
Christmas is a joyous occasion celebrated all over the world. The joy can be for oneself and for others. My family, friends, and I personally enjoy bringing joy to others. Therefore, we form a small group to visit orphanages, homes for the aged, the children's ward at Kidwai Cancer Institute in Bangalore, and gift the residents of these institutes with small gifts and some treats. Seeing them happy and sometimes sharing their stories with us fills us with joy.
Perhaps you could consider earmarking an amount of time on Christmas Eve for self-enjoyment and also spend it with others in need. Experience the joy of giving and sharing.
Best regards and a very Merry Christmas to you in advance.

Hi, Have a Santa - who gives gifts - have some games because when ppl come with families they tend to feel left out. A
Hi, you can have something like a gift-exchanging session where you pick up a chit and give a gift to the person whose name appears on the chit. All employees' names should be included. This can be done only if the employee strength is smaller.

Hi,
I also have the idea of exchanging gifts, but in a little different way. I'm not sure if you already know it. There is one more week until Christmas. Why don't you try the "Secret Santa" game? Make chits with all the employees' names and ask each one of them to pick a chit. Let them keep the name in the chit discreet. The whole week, the Secret Santa (the person who picked the chit) would keep sending some clues to the angel (whose name was picked) without disclosing his/her name. The angel should try and find out who his or her Santa is. On Christmas day, you can get all of them together and reveal their respective Santa's names. This way, the whole week will be exciting. It's up to the Santa to buy any gift, but please make sure everyone gets some gift or the other, at least a chocolate. We tried this in our team, and it really worked. All my team members enjoyed it.

Hi Kavita,
Rightly said that spending time with orphanages and old age homes, as suggested by Dhinakaran, is an absolutely brilliant idea. After all, Christmas is about sharing, reaching out to people, and celebrating life.
Since this occasion falls on Monday and you are based in Mumbai, you can consider a themed party on a boat on 24th Dec '06 (Sunday) at the Gateway of India.
Best wishes,
