Dear Seniors, I am working as hr in software company. I found there is no excitement in software developers towards their work because of pressure of complete deadlines on time. So please guide me to help them and teach them how to handle pressure. Please suggest me which type of lesson i can give them... So that they will meet their deadlines on time with full of energy....

Dear Ms. Kavita
You have answer to your own query. I request you think what can be the best solution to make them concentrate and meet deadline without getting frustrated. Everyone in this world can handle stress and work under extreme pressure.
I you possess exceptional training skills where you can succeed in making them feel what exactly you are feeling then you can deliver training on POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE.
Please study about individual attitude before delivering this module so that you can address their concerns.
I had been delivering training on WORK CULTURE to all my employees(approx 1500) where i had covered the BENEFITS OF POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE that made them to concentrate on their PROFESSIONAL LIFE.
I suggest you get trained yourself in PMA by an expert trainer and then start delivering the same to your employees once in every 3months. Please do included as many examples as you can.
With profound regards.

Hi Kavitha...

It is an individual's perception on pressure, some take it positively and for some their whole energy and enthusiasm goes in order to beat the stress and pressure of deadlines, work, targets, competition etc.

I will give you suggestion on the basis of my experience in organsiation:

Try and bring the positivity in the work place environment, induce energy by color therapy, it really works. Take a help of a professional or just google search for the impact of colours on our personality. It works...:)

Secondly during breaks, involve them in office gossips(healthy gossip induce lot of zeal) it can be anything which may not hurt anyone's sentiments and till the time it is not harmful.

Also introduce some stress busters, it can be some theme on fridays, some stress busters activity, some contests you can get such ideas on the forum just do some search here...

And as Shaik Abdul Khadir Suggested, training in PMA is also a great idea, but before you introduce Such trainings I would suggest to increase their energy levels so that they take the trainings on their stride and not by compulsion.

So, lets see how does all this work and then we can discuss it further for more improvement.

Dear Ms. Kavitha
I agree with Ms. Archna and i forgot to mention that its up to individual how he perceives things. Boost their MORALE. APPRECIATE their HARD WORK.
Make your employees to workout on this
THEIR INPUT(S) = THEIR OUTPUT
THEIR HABIT(S) = THEIR RESULT(S)
It really works.
I am planning to get back to india in NOVEMBER this year. It is hard to find extract time when under stress but here is an idea that has worked at times. Find a time to allow your people to take on a creative project or a piece of a creative project to get their minds off the main project and release their creativity. This gives them some relief form the stressful work and helps to reduce the stress level. This could be a brainstorming event as long as it is quick and creative.

Hi Kavita,
I am sure a lot of professionals face this problem in the offices.
Deadlines make you dead.
Archana has given some nice suggestions - Deadlines will remain, you can only create some diversions of mind
to cool the mind, and free the mind of tensions.
Colour therapy, creating a good lighting, right ambience, get some plants, aquariums,
nice comfy ergonomic chairs, cheerful atmosphere etc..can be tried.
You could also try Yoga, meditation, use some light music at the lobby / rest area, improve quality of cafeteria, put a TT Table if space permits.
Encourage people to have healthy juices & snacks instead of just Coffee and Kurkure..
All of it will work, bit by bit, bit by bit... you just have to keep at it.
All the best, and please do share your experience so that we too become wiser!!

Dear Mr. John
Many trainers have succeeded in training individuals as HOW TO BEAR or COPE UP PRESSURE though it is INDIVIDUALS PERSPECTIVE.
Even i had trained my employees HOW TO COPE UP STRESS and HANDLE IT WITH EASE.
Perhaps you need to contact those who made it happen. If you want, i am ready to take up this challenge.
With profound regards
