Hi, can please guide me that whether should the employee need to replace for her lateness at the ground of car accident with police report submitted to HR department? Our working hour is start at 9 am till 6 pm but she reached to office at 10.30 am and submitted her police report caused by car accident this morning. Is she need not replace the working hours for 1.5 hours to company as she do submit the police report?

Dear Deserine,
Greetings!!!!
Somebody has met an accident and you want to replace that 1.5 hrs lost, that's really surprising.
If the person who has met the accident is correct and you believe him/her, you should give him/her an off for at least a couple of hours , so that he/she can relax and give optimum output to work.
Productivity is important not the number of hours worked.

making the employee compensate for that one and half hour will surely demoralise and demotivate not only this employee but also a lot of other guys who form an opinion based on observing the surroundings.
help people to perform should be the motto.

This is the height, how any one can control the destiny, she is admitting that she meet with and accident, not a comment headache or fever.
what if she got seriously Injured, can any one pay for the pain faced by some one, dedcution of salary on these bases will definetly demoralise her and rest of team mambers.
Who will like to work for the concern which can,t treat employees as human beens.

Dear,
Very..... Funny...... !
Is your company or HR guys have some humanity left ?
You do NOT have faith in your employees. Is accident a daily routine ?
I will suggest hire ROBOTS as employees and specially in HR deptt because they do NOT have emotions.
Sorry if reply is HARD HITTING but you only asked for it.

HR is human resoure managemnt ...not Hitler resource management.
Respect Humanity first. If you make employees comfortable, they wil be self motivated to work, not required to moniter number of hours spent.

Thanks for all comments even bad comments, thanks ya~ Sorry for any my stupid question posted, actually i am not fully in HR filed.. i am very fresh and as a Admin cum HR Assistant in the company. Currently my HOD also was resigned and i am the only one staff left in HR and Admin Department now. thus i stuck then...i am not professional in HR. Now i understood that we need to be humanity as treating the case by considering her total output of work, instead of just following the rules and regulation.
I am ok for all hard hitting, but anyway thanks all of you for giving me the guidance. I have learned a lot. Thank you!

Accepting the mistake great sign of improvement. One more important about you is that, you have asked the openion in forum instead of talking the sole decision.
That shows that you have good learning skill and respect other openions. Hope you will shine as good HR
All the best
