Hi All.. One of my employees having a service overlapping issue in EPF
In COMPANY 1 he worked 2019 to 29-jun-2021 then he tried to get job in some other company and not resigned in company1..Without resignation he joined COMPANY2 and worked 1 month..then return to Company1.. now still working COMPANY1 but having Overlapping issue..
Solution required...

Hi, this is totally wrong on employees behalf. Without resigning he has joined somewhere and thought that no one will know, but Aadhaar is linked in UAN and all information is easily available in the portal.
Have faced similar situation.
If the DOE is not submitted in Portal for Company 1, then there should not be a problem while withdrawing his PF at the time of resignation.
But validate the details by clicking on service history in UAN portal and also check in case you apply for PF advance which of the company reflects there. In Case, it is Company2 that gets reflected then he will have to take up this case with the employer in Company 2

Have faced similar situation.
If the DOE is not submitted in Portal for Company 1, then there should not be a problem while withdrawing his PF at the time of resignation.
But validate the details by clicking on service history in UAN portal and also check in case you apply for PF advance which of the company reflects there. In Case, it is Company2 that gets reflected then he will have to take up this case with the employer in Company 2

Hi, in this case New id number generated for him 100 % he will face trouble.
1. Now his default EPF ID is company 2 account, what ever amount deposited by company 1 will not show in Company 1 EPF passbook, he can't withdraw any Loan from EPF also.
2. Only short term Technical solution he has to request to company 1 HR to put DOE of 1st account as 01.07.2021 and again generate a new code for him then transfer all his previous code amount( 1 and 2 ) to 3 code, then 3rd code will be active code him for future and he can withdraw loan or pf what ever want he to do.
But this is only short term solution same over lapping problem will again come during Pension withdrawal or retirement time, then 1st company has to give a request letter to EPF office and pension withdrawn process need to done manually, since online pension withdraw process will reject his case.
