Dear member,
I wish you had given sufficient information while raising a post. In what capacity have you raised the post? Are you searching for a job or you are an employer? Are you from a placement agency? There is a mismatch between the heading and the main body of your post. What exactly do you wish to know? Are you trying to capture market information but have camouflaged it as a simple query?
Thanks,

Hi,
The current younger generation prefer less work hours with more salary.
All prefer for white collar job rather than blue collar job.
In old days consistency in employment was there. Reason being job opportunities were very less and people tend to stick on to one company from joining to till retirement. Respect for employment was there. Though salaries were not very lucrative at that point of time self contentment was there among workers and they lived happily with what they have. But after the emerge of IT/BPO Sector @ India things changed drastically. Salaries were paid lavishly due to the volume of work and also due to competition between IT giants in retaining the right talent. As a result cost of living reached the pinnacle.
Now the current scenario is that a candidate who had reached the salary level of Rs.60,000/- per month in 3-4 years span of time want to maintain the same range and doesn't prefer to opt for low salary offer even if he/she lost the job. The concept of jumping from one job to other job for every two years has become very common and everybody want to earn as much as possible before they reach 40's.
An qualified civil/mechanical Engineer have many options after the completion of the degree like site work/fabrication but the number of candidates opting for those fields is decreasing day by day as the career growth will be stagnant in such fields.
So though opportunities are more for all candidates all focus towards highly paid jobs and production based jobs are less preferred.
To conclude the mindset of the younger generation need to change. Instead of focusing only towards Abroad offers/IT/BPO / Govt job, job seekers needs to explore all other available options including entrepreneurship.
