Dear Friends,
I need support on this:
I sent my resignation letter 2 days back to my manager CC to HR, (both by mail & hard copy), but to receive offer & appointment letter from new company they demand acceptance of resignation letter.
But my reporting manager tells now, it will take 1 week time for just give acceptance itself.
My question is:
1) is there any TAT for giving acceptance on resignation letter?
2) once issue notice but pending for acceptance.. what it means.. am I in notice period or not (I've given 1 month notice)?
3) Is there any procedure to move HR directly, in case my reporting manager purposely delaying things?
I need this in urgent base.. Plz suggest..

Dear Rajesh,
Greetings!!!
You have already intimated HR through CC. You can follow up with HR, i don't see any harm in doing this.
There is no TAT as such, for accepting resignation. Technically, notice period starts from the date on which you tender your resignation but in order to have good relationship with employer, most of the outgoing employees consider it from the date of acceptance.

Any letter delivered must be acknowledged by the receiver. The acknowledgement is suffice for the new employer for processing the Offer letter. Relieving letter may be produced at the time of joining.

Thanks for your kind reply..
I had little hesitation to skip my boss to reach HR, but at last I called HR..
As you mentioned my HR team confirmed that my last working date will be as I mentioned in notice period and also they confirmed my notice period has started from the day I issued notice..
Only thing they too will wait for 2 days to my boss to accept my resignation otherwise they said they will make it happen..
Once again thanks for your valuable input..
I feel relax now..
