Dear All,
One of our employee has resigned from the job. Due to some reasons, there is a delay in relieving this employee. And thus the resigned employee is asking for a letter stating that his notice period has been extended and will be relieved on the further dates, which will be submitted by him to the company he is joining. Kindly help me to prepare a letter for the same.

Dear Megha,
I recommend you writing the draft of the letter and uploading it here. Some senior person like me will correct. I say this because you know the facts of the case and secondly, if you try then it will improve your drafting skills as well.

Hi
As rightly pointed by one of our senior personnel, one has to draft a letter and let the members comment on the same with or without corrections. One should not expect this forum to be a ready reckoner of sorts but a site helping one another in the field of HR with guidance extended by many distinguished guests who take time to spare and put their thoughts/advice into the subject.
Whoever is bringing up the issue has to put in some efforts from his/her and take the initiative before seeking assistance.
Thanks and Regards

Hi,

There is no pre defined template for this. Resignation letter is nothing but an official written communication from the employee about his /her unwillingness / inability to continue employment with the employer and request for relief along with settlement.

It is not that you will score less marks or penalized for grammatical mistakes in the resignation letter. So just express your thoughts in simple words and submit the resignation letter with your employer.

It is as simple as the way you have coined the question for this forum.
