Dear Namrata
Make them feel valued and important. Their roles/responsibilities/contribution should make them feel proud and important to the organizational goals and objectives. Have a workshop of these employees ; it could be an in-house program or even organize an external trainer if possible. The platform could be used for discussion of any genuine issues and also for boosting their motivation and morale levels.
It is also very important to discuss any issues which they may be facing in the night shift. Try and find out the same also.
Regards
Amrita

Dear Namrata,

Very interesting questions you have?

It is question of How good your people's processes are?It is not a question of satisfying the Night shift people only. You have to develop a people management process. I do lot of these types of assessment/audits on the processes which include people's processes. These things has to be seen holistically and define a process for interaction, perceptions/feedback, alignment of the people processes with strategy, set up effective internal communication platforms either way, programs for motivating the people(all) at various levels, like multi skilling, encourage them higher studies, suggestion schemes, QCs....and many things( I have let out hardly 5% of what my thoughts are).

We can do an audit and interaction with people(all including supervisors and middle level managers(they are also responsible for dissatisfaction of employees). I am not sure what type of company you are working? How many employees, what's the product or service, What is the org structure? What's your turnover? what are your strategies or plan for the next 3 years?etc etc

You can try and interact with me if you feel so
