My Question here is i joined on 12th Of March 2014 in that company and i resigned on 11th of September 2014.
what will be the notice period for me - based on this i want to update the joining date to the next employer.
Awaiting for your kind reply.

The probation does not get over just because the 6 months has ended.
There needs to be an official communication indicating the end of probation and confirmation of the employee as permanent.
So, you will have a notice period of one year.
However, it is always a good idea to get confirmation of the last working day from HR department so that there is no dispute on it when you leave.

Since you are not confirmed officially, you are liable for 1 month notice only.

Within probation period, you had put up your papers. Hence, 1 month NP applies in your case. Pon

Dear Anonymous
You have desired to have a sample PTW (Permit To Work). It may pointed out for awareness of all that a PTW is a written document signed by an authorised person which authorises an employee/worker/contractor to carry out a maintenance/repair activity on plant/equipment connected to a system with electrical power. I am appending below a sample format of PTW :
Name of the Company_______________________
Department
Date_____________ Time of Issue_____________ PTW No.___________
This PTW is being issued to Mr______________, Designation__________, Employee No.____________ or Mr______________, Designation_______, employee of Contractor M/s____________________ to carry out the maintenance/repair work of ____________________ at plant/machine/station etc (as applicable) on date______________ from (time)___________ to ____________ (time).
The work will be started only after informing and obtaining written clearance from the ____________ Department that the work area has been disconnected from the connected source of power supply and now it is safe to work. After completion of the maintenance/repair work the information will be given to the said Department____________________ who will reconnect the plant/equipment/work area with the power system.
The executing employee/contractor will check the working of the plant/equipment after repair/maintenance and the return the PTW to the issuing authority giving the time of start and time of completion of work with date.
Name and signature of the Issuing Authority with rubber stamp
Details of work done:
1. Clearance obtained from __________ Department at __________ (time)
2. Maintenance/Repair work started at ________ time and completed at __________ time.
3. Information of completion given to _________ Department at __________ time.
4. Working of plant/equipment checked and found OK. In case any defect is noticed then it will be informed to the Issuing Authority before return of PTW for obtaining further directions.
Signature of the employee executing the work
with rubber stamp.
The above format can be adjusted as per requirement of the industry.
Hope this will serve your purpose and it will also be useful for general awareness of the members and other readers.

Ms Tejal Patel,
Your question is a kind of FAQ. The terms and conditions of appointment as given in the appointment letter are always the governing principle of employment and resignation from employment. The rules do not put a bar that an employee cannot resign during leave, but you will have to refer to the terms and conditions of appointment. General rule is that an employee is required to submit resignation with a due notice period or pay salary in lieu of required notice period. Accordingly whosoever is availing Maternity Leave may choose to resign by giving due notice or salary in lieu of notice. However if the terms of appointment state that leave will not be admissible during notice period, then an employee has to report back to duty and submit resignation with due notice period. It may also be pointed out that if the medical condition of an employee does not allow to report back to duty then a resignation letter can be given supported with medical certificate for consideration of the Management.
Hope this clarifies your inquiry.
