Dear all,
While getting the passport in Chennai I have been issued passport in the name of SANTHOSHA instead of SANTOSHA which means additional letter H has been added after T. When I tried to get this corrected passport authorities not helped me. Will it cause any problem to me in travelling abroad for job or other purposes . If no problem Visa is to be obtained under the name mentioned in Passport. Please guide.
Thanks.
Santosh

It will matter a lot in each process of job doing in India or outside India.
You must apply for the change in your name of the passport.

Dear Santosh,
Its better to get it rectified. It might create some unnecessary issues during background verification process.
Don't play with the Visa Process. Visa on Arrival, will not be a problem I guess, if its for pleasure.
Better late than Never.
Best Regards,

The name in your passport is very important, particularly if you use it for identification purposes.
For international travel, the name on your tickets and other travel documents etc, MUST match the name in your passport - or you can be refused boarding.
You are better to get this matter sorted out now, as it will definitely cause you a lot of hassles down the track if left unattended to.

Mr. Santosh
Your name in Qualification certificate and passport will not match. The company in abroad may come to conclusion that both are not same person.
It is important to ensure every information in passport should be printed.
I remember in Dubai Airport in my Visa my date of birth not mentioned. The Duty Officer in Airport initially made objections and later allowed. Be careful and ensure every information is filled properly without mistake.

Dear All, In such cases, immediate action should be taken for rectification. It will lead to problems in future.Even renewal will be a problem. Regards, Col.Suresh Rathi
