If the salary is credited into the employees bank account, then you dont need to take signature from employee on the revenue stamp. Collecting signature and on revenue stamp is for cash payments only. Not for bank transfers. You have to mention the cheque no or Bank transfer date in that column with bank account numbe.

Hi
If salary is been transferred to their respective bank accounts then it is not required. Days was where in they were taking the signature on the revenue stamps when they were making payments by cash. Now a days most of them are receiving salary by cheque or by account transfers.
As advised by Mr. Deepak it is required only for cash payments and if at all required you can maintain the register and get signed with no revenue stamp but its not mandatory.
More over in Bangalore revenue stamps are not available.

If you are paying salary in cash and you need to get receipt of payment made, what is your standing order saying? Such aspects must be got covered under your own certified SO. However, if it is silent or you need a practical solution in today's context as revenue stamps are not available even in most cities then display on notice board a notice copy to Labour department that employees dues including salary, bonus etc henceforth if paid in cash then concerned employees have to acknowledge receipt of payment with their signature or thumb impressions there in the register.
