Hallo seniors
I m pursuing MBA (HR) -3rd sem, under Sikkim Manipal University.
No doubt , i have to start working somewhere after i finish it. But I would like to know what else can i study (other HR course or such) to help in my HR career.
I have read 1 or 2 threads in 'citehr' abt dis topic on further studies. But i cant recall the name of the courses........
Can any1 help me in dis regard?

as far ur question is concerd dear theortical knowledge is nt of much use untln unless u apply to pratical.....just go for case studies....it will help u...one need to be pratically versent....n one thng more or join sum consultancy...in hr expericence matters.....:icon1:

I think you need to be particular about in what domain of HR you want to pursue your career further.. you may do further studies in particular stream of hr viz.. Learning and development, Performance appraisal, Laws, Organizational development....

As guided by Rahul, one can go for PHR Certification after MBA. After getting this certification you can add PHR to your name as doctors and other professionals do.

In India, a Masters degree in HRM is preferred over any other certification but if you are joining a global organization, a PHR would definitely be an added asset to your resume.
