my father was no more on 4th nov 2014 due to heart failure.me and my brother both are in esi member.is there any scheme to get any amount from esi ?in my salary esi amount 104 only.my brother esi amount is 187.who will get the maximum amount.what is the procedure .kindly help me .my family have no money support .thanks in advance

Dear Ankithagupta,
I'm Sorry about the thing happened. If your father under ESI scheme and he was died when he is working then you can claim amount from ESI. I'm not understand about your second question... you and your brother under ESI scheme so its not mean that getting money from ESI. It is cover for your illness or sick.

I don't think so ESI giving any amount for your case. Your father may get benefit because you have ESI coverage so it includes your family but for your father or guardian death will not payable any amount by ESI.

one more thing .i spend Rs 40000 for hospital treatment for my dad.i admitted my father in apollo hospital. yesterday i went to local ESI for claim reimbursement .they said we are not eligible to get claim becoz apollo hospital not tie up with esi .esi give reimbursement for only with the tie up hospital. sir now what can i do for this

Hi Ankitagupta, Check whether Apollo is tie up with the ESIC. If not we can’t do anything.

Agree,But In the case of emergency like Heart you can admit at nearest hospital for treatment but you have to inform in ESIC within 24 Hours Or 48 Hours that we have admitted at nearest private hospital for emergency treatment then only you can claim for reimbursement.
