I am pursuing MBA from a prestigious institute in our country. And as a part of course curriculum i did my internship with HDFC bank (it was a campus recruitment) for two months, when they chose me for internship they promised me that they will be giving me a stipend of 40000 Rs.(it was stated along with the joining letter).My internship days were so hard, as a part of market research I had to travel to different remote villages for 45 days, I did all expenses (approximately 65000Rs) from my own pocket as bank wasn’t giving me any reimbursement,(mentor told they will be giving me only my stipend and nothing else).
Now it has been two months, i have completed the internship(and i got a grade of 96 for the excellent work i did) and up till now they haven’t given me the stipend. whenever I called them asking about stipend’s updates they told I will be getting it by month end,/tomorrow/day after tomorrow/next months starting…etc,two months have passed but still haven’t got a single penny.. can someone help get my stipend???? Please

Demand the stipend in writing (send through registered/ speed post). If they don’t approach a legal expert for sending demand/ legal notice.

HDFC bank agreed to pay ₹40,000 for summer internship ? Are you sure ? It's surprisingly high.
Secondly it seems strange that HDFC will default on payment. I suggest you be clear with the facts
And have you discussed this with your placement officer at college ? They would definitely intervene if someone does not get paid

Pls get in touch with the HR or write to some senior personnel in the bank referring the joining letter.
