Hey Guys,
Thats a fantastic way of developing something new. When people of same interest join together, anything is possible. By the way, Waseem and Octavious, check this site ( http://isabs.org <link updated to site home> ) for further knowledge on the subject matter. MBTI, DISC are all fantastic tools and Waseem, these are worth anything in the world.
All that you have to keep in mind in using these tools is that, these are copy righted ones and you need thorough knowldege on the same. I guess thats where, ISABS (Indian Society for Applied Behavioural Science) will come in handy.
All the best guys!

Before starting you may ask two questions from your self.
Why do you want to practice psychometrics there? What is the need? What you want to get out of this?
If you are already doing something then can psychometrics as a technique, will be a help in the process?

Psytech India (formerly India Facilitation Network) is the India distributor of psychometrics and associated software for selection and development (ability
and personality) including the customizable 360˘X Appraisal Manager Software
in India from Psytech International, a leading publisher of tests from the UK.
We are pleased to announce our first world class certification program in India in December 2007.
8-Day Combined Level A and Level B (Intermediate) Course: British Psychological Societyˇ¦s Certificates of Competence in Occupational Testing
The BPS has established two principal qualification levels, termed Level A & B respectively. Level A covers the requirements to use aptitude and ability tests whereas Level B, which builds upon Level A, covers the requirements for using personality instruments. Two Level B qualifications are available. The Intermediate Level B has been formulated principally, but not exclusively, for users of a substantive personality instrument. The full Level B is directed primarily at Chartered Psychologists and other professionals who offer consultancy services and hence require a broader, more general level of competence in applying personality assessment techniques in a wide range of situations.
Our combined Level A and Level B (Intermediate) course allows you to become qualified to use both Level A and B tests. By combining the two levels in a single course, Participants are able to obtain a more thorough grounding in the theory and application of psychological assessment as a whole. This not only saves time, but also avoids the unnecessary duplication that occurs when the two levels are separated by weeks or months.
While it has been conclusively demonstrated that psychometric tests can significantly improve human resource decisions and result in productivity gains, such benefits can only be achieved by competent use of these complex instruments. Inappropriate use can not only totally negate the benefits of using valid selection procedures but it can also have an adverse effect on staff motivation. Competent use of psychometric instruments not only requires expertise in selecting, administering and scoring tests but also the interpretation of the results within the assessment context. Correct interpretation requires an understanding of population statistics and measurement theory. Responsible and ethical use of tests requires an appreciation of the limitations of tests, how to integrate complex information and present the results to test taker and decision maker alike. In the UK the qualification system has been formulated by the professional body for Psychologists, the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Who the Course is for?
„X All practicing/aspiring HR Professionals, Recruiters, Trainers, Counselors, Psychologists, Coaches, Mentors and Teachers who are Career Counselors with a good understanding of English as well as an ability to assimilate new (sometimes technical) information without too much difficulty.
„X HR Professionals who wish to develop their skills in psychological assessment and improve company selection and development practices.
„X Line managers who are interested in selecting, developing and retaining high potential employees.
Previous courses in other countries have welcomed Human Resource Managers, Training Managers, Coaches, Career Counselors, Psychologists, Recruitment Consultants, Team-Builders and Business Directors among others.
After the course
Successful participants will be able to apply to the British Psychological Society for the Level A Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing and the Level B (Intermediate) Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing. They will also be able to appear on the societyˇ¦s Register of Competence in Occupational Testing. These certificates enable the holder to purchase any Psytech Ability or Personality Assessment and additionally to purchase outside of Psytech using an internationally Recognised certificate. (Please be aware that some publishers may still require that you undergo a short conversion course.) Psytech India will provide all successful participants with an online psychometric account area where they may administer score and manage any of our tests. There is of course a per-use fee payable for each test.
Course Objectives
„X To provide an in-depth grounding in the theory and practice of ability and personality testing.
„X To enable Participants to gain access to the widest range of tests of ability, aptitude, interest, values and personality.
„X To equip Participants with the knowledge required to critically evaluate psychometric tests for specific applications.
„X To enable Participants to successfully implement objective assessment methods for selection, development, counseling and guidance.
„X To provide a thorough and objective overview of the assessment market.
„X To assess the role of computers in assessment.
„X To enable Participants to qualify for the Level A and Level B (Intermediate) Certificates of Competence in Occupational Testing and to be included on the BPS Register of Competence (the additional charge, payable to the BPS included in final costing)
