Dear All,
I Keep Exploring New Opportunity.Recently i have attended interviews where junior by 5-6 years took interview. The person representing the Organization was weak in comm skills and not Technically sound. The Interview lasted for 2 minutes only and the Gentleman asked me very basic hr questions which i have answered really well.
I have not been able to get feedback even after following up many times.
It becomes discouraging to attend these interviews when you don`t have recruitment Process followed.
Kindly advise.

Hi Amit,
I didnt get what you said " where junior by 5-6 years took interview."
Was the person taking your interview a fresher or a person with less experience? How you come to know that the person was a junior?
"The person representing the Organization was weak in comm skills and not Technically sound."
If this person is a HR person, than comm should have been good, atleast average. A recruiter need not be technically sound, i didn't get what you mean by technically sound. Is it related to technical skills or HR skills?

First HR round can be for 2 mins upto 10 mins also. It depends how one answers the questions and what type of questions the HR person is asking.
As per you, you answered the questions really well, but they may not be right as per the requirement of the company.
As also you said that you had told him about the expectation and that negotiable. But how you communicated that, does matter.
Normal Standard hike for 3-5 yrs exp. is about 20-30 % on your current CTC again depending on when you got your last salary hike. if you have got salary hike in last 3-4 months, than it may not be even this. Now if you have quoted the hike more than this lets say 50% than how much will you negotiate.
I also have interviewed many candidates where they expect huge salary and say that its negotiable a little bit. I ask them why they are asking for such a hike, which they answer they think they deserve it. No here the trick is how they answer this question, i try to understand their tone, body language and some other features to understand the person.
on my analysis, i may reject the candidate or forward to next round.
There are many companies where they have fixed salary hike, so thay may also be one of the reason you are not shortlisted.

Dear Amit,
Can you please throw some light on your statement "I keep exploring new opportunity".
The next statement of yours "The interview lasted for 2 minutes only" is quite interesting because assuming the interviewer had asked three basic questions in HR and according your statement you have answered them well, then two minutes of interview timing will be impossible unless you have answered each of the question in one sentence.
As you have stated that the company does not have a proper recruitment process it will not be in your interest to join the company, so you need not get perturbed for not receiving any response from this organisation.

Dear Friends,
It is good to explore new opportunities but practically there are no vacancies in the market with what i have observed. Companies are floating vacancies to show that they are hiring new skills and conduct interview just to show that they have interviewed the candidates but have not found suitable candidate as per their requirement.
Most of the time these interview are taken by sub-ordinates or juniors since bosses are not interested in evaluating as there are aware that they are anyways not going to select the candidate. And most of the time one can judge the the caliber of the interviewer
Most common dialogue would be we have gone through your profile and since we are evaluating more candidates we will let you know in case you are shortlisted but you will never get a call.

Even In My experience if someone is looking for 50 to 80 % hike i am concluding the Interview because to give hike against the companies policy/ fixed slab is not possible.
Its correct that a person who is representing the company should have good communication in English and Regional Language but he should be technically sound is not very Important.

I do not understand the relevance of the interviewer's age in this posting.
The fact that the person who interviewed you was younger than you is irrelevant.
What is relevant is that the person was a competent interviewer, and followed a sound recruitment and selection process. It would appear that this was not the case in this instance.
No-one can interview a person in 2 minutes. I think I would be taking this matter up with senior management of the company concerned. But, as someone else pointed out, why would you want to work for such a company.
