Dear Viren,
Welcome to the HR Faternity.
Now to answer your question What now?
Frankly Speaking, HR is a very vast field and learning is a continues activity... To take up Law, or Psychology or anything else, will depend upon where does your interest in HR lies.
So, first analysis is very important, as to which side of HR would you want to excel in.... Is It Training, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, Strategic Management, Employee Hiring or any other... I have just named a few.
First settle down... then analysis and then learn... Learning to chalta rahega...

Hi Viren,
I have around 1.2 years of experience in HR and the way I have seen it, the 80% learning will be coming from your day-to-day work and BAU. It is important that you are learning everyday about various HR functions within your organization. The academic and theoritical knowledge is certainly important and must be kept updated, however the way every company functions is very different. Theory and practice have a huge gap in between. So focus on the practical tools/skills of the trade. Use the academic knowledge when needed, but you will soon realize that at junior and executive level, it doen't help much. Keep working, good luck.
Thanks,
- Nikhil
