Hope we have enjoyed a lot i.e yesterday's match.......
I hope yesterday match is some what related to management where we have to learn from it.
What we can observe is:
1. Even Average people can perfom well. : Even in the organisation also we should not cncentrate on top performers ( ex: sachin in cricket) but also on the average people.
2. Lateral Skills : Lateral skills where a good bowler is also a Good bats man. Like that in the management also many employees may be having many lateral skills , so we have to make utilise of it.
3. Leadership
4. Motivation
5.Team spirit.
So any observation by your end...........

20-20 cricket is like gambling. The result can be changed in 5- 10 minutes and it cannot be compared to a 50 over match. In fifty over match we need consistent batsman and here the big names like Dada and Sachin will dominate atleast for the next two years. Then other bignames will emerge.
Our win in the world cup was due to the dedication and team spirit shown by the youngsters. Also, Dhoni is a good motivator and his tactics was success.
he made right move in putting Yousef Pathan to open the innings and mixing of bowlers in tight situations..
Let Dhoni and his team bring more success and fame to Indian Cricket Team and joy to all Indians.

Sometimes while managing people, we need to rely on person's capabilities even when he is not performing well. This is quite similar to the situation where Sreesanth was hit for 20 runs in his first over, but Dhoni gave him second over again to bowl which was maiden one. Later on Sresanth took wicket also, his catch in the 20th over was also very crucial. I think it was the world cup not the ball which he caught for the last wicket of Pakistan.
Again Dhoni, while deciding whom to give 20th over to bowl when 12 runs were needed for Pakistan to win, asked Bhajji whether he would like to bowl. Bhajji refused for that becoz he was not getting proper yorkers. Sometimes it is better to ask for employees' opinion regarding any task. Then he chose Joginder Sharma.
Really it was a nail biting, breath taking match in which Indian youth team have shown their potential.

To my mind 20-20 is the toughest of all the formats because it is like giving a three hour exam where one simply has to hit out, get wickets etc. Dhoni said so in an interview a couple of days ago when he admitted that it was quite a drain on both the body and the mind. There is no place for non performers. From a spectator's point of view, why should one wait for eight hours to get much more in three- return on time and money and this view is backed by no less than than another victorious captain- Kapil Dev.

Yesterday our MD announced that if India wins the World Cup - then next day(today) would be a holiday!! :) :) am enjoying every bit of the same.
Shilpa..thanks for starting this wonderful thread and also convey my regards to Kerela Hr , Amit ( both) ,Tarun Sharma, Hiren and Hassan.
Recieved an e-mail ( as reproduced herewith) from RK Dhanvada,Recruitment Consultant & CEO Coach,D & HR Consultants , Hyderabad,e-mail id : rk@dhanvada. com which beautifully summarizes the rise of Young Indian Turks!.
Guess whatever Prashant did and other participant did in the last 7-8 Pre final stage of reaching the top made was a perseverant effort using their passion and conviction.. Not the educational marksheet and degrees but skill . Prashant coming from a small town in a remote city of West Bengal and that too from Police like dept.. is a reflection that all can achieve . He could not carry his study and to support the family joined West Bengal Police. He had not formal Music training excepting hours of practice and conviction to make to a world class one day soon. He new that it was possible if only he made ¡° effort ¡° .. In the qualifying round , he forgot the words of the song. Coming from Nepali origin , it is indeed amazing to be an Indian Idol !!
Just note small town talents like Rudra Pratap Singh ¨C cricket bowler from Rae Bareli or Piyush Chawla from Aligarh , , Sreesant is from Kothamangalam in Kerala , Suresh Raina from Muradnagar in Ghaziabad , Kaif from Allahabad , Irfan Pathan and his brother Yusuf Pathan grew in Madrasa in Baroda . Munaf Patel is from Bharuch village in Gujarat whose father recently bought a TV to watch his son . Lets not forget our Dhoni is from Ranchi in Jharkhand,.
The small town yearnings are different to grow and succeed. They are not the victims of Metro town culture of peer life style. They always have a strong foundation and self belief to become a world class. They are not complacent and fortunately have family support that does not pamper them .
